Managing Assets

Information on managing assets

Introduction

What are assets and where can they be found?

The Assets tab can be found at the top of the navigation menu on the right hand side of the Site Dashboard landing page. You will use this page as a central place to store any images, videos or documents you would like to upload to your site (PDFS, JPG & PNG). For example, if referencing a document in Blogs or Pages, you will need to upload it to Assets first.

Uploading Files

There are two options if you would like to upload a file as an asset. Option one is to click the Upload Files button underneath the Assets heading, and option two is to click the blue circular icon in the bottom right hand corner of the page.

Searching for Assets

Search for assets using the search bar located near the top right hand corner of the Assets page. As long as you know what the name of the asset is, it is only one search away.

Tip: Name your files appropriately when uploading them to ensure you are able to find them when it comes time to search.

Creating a New Folder

Keeps your assets tidy by organising them into folders

Create a new folder by clicking the button next to Upload files, it will then prompt you to enter the folder’s name. Once you have done this, click create and your new folder will be listed under your assets.
